SWIRL BREAD DIPPING STICKS

Thomas’ ® Cranberry Swirl Bread

INGREDIENTS

Servings       10

6 slices of Thomas’ ® Cranberry Swirl Bread cut into thirds
5 sage leaves
1/2 cup pomegranate arils
1 cup maple mashed sweet potatoes (ingredients below)

1 cup crumbled & toasted Thomas’ ® Original English Muffins (or Panko breadcrumbs)

2 tablespoons melted butter

 

Maple Mashed Sweet Potatoes:
1 cup leftover mashed sweet potatoes
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt

DIRECTIONS

1. To make the maple mashed sweet potatoes, combine all ingredients into a bowl until well combined.

 

2. In a small casserole dish add the mashed potatoes.

 

3. Combine panko breadcrumbs with melted butter and spread over the mashed potatoes.

 

4. Bake at 350° F degrees until heated through.

 

5. While the dip bakes, toast and cut Swirl Bread into dipping sticks

 

6. Meanwhile, fry a few sage leaves in butter. As soon as the dip comes out of the oven, finish with fried sage leaves and pomegranate arils.
